JUNIOR, AMATEUR & SHOWCASE

 

 

Pole Art France is an international competition of Pole Dance.

Pole Art France is a competition supported independently by sponsors and independent supporters whose goal is the promotion and development of pole dance.

 

The competition will take place in Bordeaux, on April 7th, 2018 for junior, amateur & showcase categories.

 

GENERAL REGULATIONS

 

APPRECIATED ELEMENTS

 

  • «Routines» in which participants will show the good balance between strength and flexibility.

  • Clean figures as well as flow movements.

  • Originality in telling the story on stage, a way of being or an artistic expression . We don't ask you to send us your story, your challenge is to express it on the stage. Your story must be clear and easy to understand. This is a part of the SCORING CARDS.

 

NB: The choreography must include as much static pole as spinning pole as well as floor work (40% static / 40% spinning / 20% floor work)

 

STRICLY FORBIDDEN

 

  • To undress on stage

  • To show, touch, and/or caress the private parts of the body, breasts and thighs.

  • To have an especially erotic or vulgar expression, to make sexual references during the choreography

  • To express racist behaviors, obvious signs of intolerance or harmful expressions to the spirit of the competition or the jury.

  • To stop the performance except in case of technical problems with the structure and/or the poles.

 

SCORING

 

  • Each judge will have an evaluation table (SCORE CARDS) that he/she will fill out at the end of each performance;

 

  • Judges will grade participants from 1 to 10 for each scoring category (the sum of the grades will be then calculated to determine the final ranking)

 

  • Participants with the higher score will win in order 1st, 2nd and 3rd place; For Showcase category, the best performance will receive the "Best Show" award. 

 

CATEGORIES

 

This competition will take place in only one final round in Bordeaux on april 7th 2018 for junior, amateur & showcase categories;

Junior Category

(open to international participants/competitors, not under 10 years)

• Not under 10 years and maximum 17 years. 

Amateur Category

(open to international participants/competitors, not under 16 years)

• Do NOT teach pole dance (or never teached before)

Showcase Category  

(Open to national or international professional performer only !)

 

You are a professional pole dancer? YIn this category, double, group or aerial hoop performer are accepted. Only the best will be selected !

 

For duet and group, please send only one application form and don't forget to add the name of your partner. (Choose "Showcase - duet : 90€ or Showcase - group : 145€)

 

Levels equivalence: advanced, elite, Xtrem, nationals and/or internationals competitors, performer..

ATTENTION :

The jury and the organizers reserve the right to change the category of a participant, according to an objective evaluation, if they consider that the participant did not choose the appropriate category. If you are not agree with their decision, you will be disqualified and there is no refund. 

IMPORTANT:

AMATEUR CATEGORY : final in april 2018 in Bordeaux

SEMI PRO, ELITE MEN & ELITE WOMEN CATEGORY : final in 2018 in Paris.

CONDITIONS & RULES

 

  • Judges can stop the performance at any moment if a health risk for the participant occurs or if the rules are not respected;

 

  • It is in no way mandatory for the judges to comment or explain grades awarded to the candidates: judges give the final result;

 

  • Winners will be announced in the following 30 minutes after the last performance of the finale;

 

  • Before and during the finale, participants and their trainers MUST NOT try to contact or talk with the members of the jury;

 

  • Outfit: all private parts have to be covered up (breasts, nipples, male and female private parts). The choice of costume is free. Latex, leather, vinyl clothes or others alike materials are forbidden. Heels are allowed. Boots, ankle boots, or other shoes facilitating the grip and the climb on the pole are strictly forbidden. Nippies, other nipple covers or breasts’ jewels are also forbidden. Piercing or rings must be removed before using the poles (earrings authorized);

 

  • Judges and organizers can disqualify a candidate if there is a violation of the dress code of the competition;

 

  • Only Dry Hands can be used on the body. If you use something else, you will be eliminated ! NO dry hands on the pole ! Pole will be clean by our pole cleaner. Candidates can choose to clean themselves the pole.

  • Before and during the competition, the participants are not authorized to drink alcohol or take/use illegal substances that can change their physical conditions: to take or use forbidden substances such as steroids, etc., constitutes a breach of the competition regulation and a criminal offense under French law. Every violation of this rule will be followed by the immediate disqualification of the athlete;

 

MUSIC

 

  • The selected candidates, after the video submissions qualifications, have to provide the organizers with his/her music (MP3 format) : “NAME SURNAME – CATEGORY – POLE ART FRANCE 2018”. And please, send us the author and title of your music !

    The participants also have to bring a USB key with their music the day of the competition;

    Music must be registered with the SACEM repertoire (more than five million music available!) : https://repertoire.sacem.fr/

 

 

  • Length of the music for the finale: Amateur & Junior : between 2'50 min and 3'00 min MAXIMUM / Showcase : between 2'50 min and 3'30 min MAXIMUM 

 

 

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

 

The participant is a person who satisfies the following conditions:

 

  • Be at least 16 years old on the day of the deadline of the selections; or 10 years for junior category.

 

  • If you are under 18, you can participate in the competition but you must include with your submission a parental discharge and a parental consent for participation of their child.

 

  • The participant must be able to present a health certificate valid for the period of the competition;

 

  • Every participant has to know and accept the rules and conditions of the competition;

 

  • The competition is open to every contestant of any nationality and to all studios, schools or pole dance federations, as well as to private contestants.

 

  • Every candidate must send the completed form ( on the website www.poleart-france.com under the “English version” - “Application” heading . Participants must also include the youtube or vimeo link of their video submissions (be sure that your video is not in “private”). And this IN THE SAME TIMETHAT YOUR APPLICATON.

 

  • Participants must send their application and video submissions BEFORE December 18th, 2017 for junior, amateur and showcase categories; All applications received after this date will be rejected.

 

  • Finalists will be judged according to the following evaluation table by judges.

 

  • The participation fee are: 35€/participant for junior; 45€/participant for Amateur & Showcase solo; 90€ for Showcase duo and 145€ for Showcase group (only one for per duo/group and only one payment per duo/group). Payment must be made IN THE SAME TIME THAT YOUR APPLICATION, after submitting your application form. (you will be redirected automatically on our paypal account)

 

Rules and requirements for the video submission

 

  • The video must be clear, of good quality, and the candidate must be perfectly visible.

 

  • Candidates must use TWO poles (one in static mode and one in spinning mode). For Showcase duo or group, you can use both pole in spinnng or in static. For showcase category you can send an aerial hoop application (Just remember : on stage you have maximum 3m20/3m40)

 

  • The video must demonstrate your capacity to present tricks, spins, strength and flexibility movements, and your capacity to execute combos (succession of figures). However, the video must, above all, show your artistic sense and your personality.

 

  • No one except the candidate can appear in the video.

 

  • Your video should be no less than 2'00 minutes and no more than 2'30min. ( Showcase : you can use a previous performance but maximum 2'30min). If the video more than 2'30min judge will not watch the end.

 

  • The video submissions cannot be modified/altered or edited in any way. The choreography must be filmed without breaks or interruptions (shading or other types of effects are strictly forbidden)

  • Your video submission does not have to show the choreography that you wish to present for the finale.

 

 

DEADLINE AND IMPORTANTS DATES

 

  • Complete application (application form, submitted video and payment of the participation fees): before december 18th, 2017;

  • Presentation of the finalists list: January 20th, 2018 at the latest;

  • Deadline to submit music in MP3 format: February 18, 2017;

  • Finale of the Pole Art France competition: April 7, 2018;

 

HOW TO PROCEED TO APPLY

 

  • To register complete the application form on the website www.poleart-france.com that can be found in the “English version” - “Application”.

 

  • Each participant must also send in the online registration a Youtube or Vimeo link for his or her video submission entitled “SUMBMISSION POLE ART FRANCE 2017 – NAME - CATEGORY” . Don’t forget to change your privacy settings to “public” to enable the organizers to watch your videos. (and this during 3 weeks after the end of submission)

 

  • Video submissions have to last at least 2'00 minutes and no more than 2'30 minutes. (Showcase : you can send a previous performance but maximum 2'30min)

 

 

ATTENTION: Pole Art France will not be held liable of any infringement regarding copyrights (video and music). For all of these issues the candidate only will be liable.

 

- If the candidate is selected for the finale, he will have to send his music track (MP3 format) directly to poleartfrance@gmail.com before the deadline indicated in the regulations.

 

- Candidates have to follow the instructions that they will receive after the application form is sent.

 

- The names of the candidates selected for the finale of Pole Art France will be published on www.poleart-france.com as well as on the facebook page of the event.

 

Four additional candidates will be placed on a waiting list. If one of the candidates selected for the finale declares forfeit because of a health issue or an injury, the first candidate on the waiting list will be called to participate in the finale.

 

By filling out the application form candidates give their consent on the conditions and terms defined by the organizers as well as on the rules and regulations in its entirety.

 

TECHNICAL CRITERIA OF THE STAGE:

 

  • 2 poles: 1 static & 1 spinning.

  • Diameter 42mm / Height 3,46m

  • Fitpole original (grip more important than on the other brands such as Lupit ou X pole)

  • Distance between the two poles: arround 2,8m .

  • Only Itac, Dry hands are authorized. No other grip will be allowed. If you use something else, you will be eliminated !

 

When you looking at the stage from the audience, the left pole is in static mode and the right one is in spinning mode.

 

 

Medical assistance during the competition:

A doctor will be at the competition for emergency interventions.
